What is it?
The endive protector is the whitening system of the escarole in the field in the form of a protective helmet. The alternative to tied with elastic bands.
What is it for?
It avoids the contact of direct light with the plant and avoids that the chlorophyll acts maintaining a white escarole and with its original form, without having previously tied it.
How is it used?
They are fixed to the floor by means of two built-in metal rods that make them reusable. It is put on the bush days before collecting.
